How to Apply Your DTF Transfer

Follow these instructions for the best application results and long-lasting durability.

Before You Begin

• Preheat your heat press to 300°F (149°C).
• Use medium to firm pressure.
• Pre-press the garment for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.

Step 1: Position the Transfer

Place the DTF transfer on the garment with the printed side facing down against the fabric. Ensure the design is straight and positioned correctly.

Step 2: Press

Press the transfer at:

• Temperature: 300°F (149°C)
• Time: 10–15 seconds
• Pressure: Medium to Firm

Press settings may vary slightly depending on your heat press and garment type.

Step 3: Peel

Allow the transfer to cool slightly, then peel the film smoothly according to the film's recommended peel method.

Step 4: Final Press

For maximum durability and a softer finish, cover the design with parchment paper, butcher paper, or a Teflon sheet and press again for 5–10 seconds using the same temperature and pressure.

Garment Care

To maximize the life of your printed apparel:

• Wait 24 hours before the first wash.
• Turn garments inside out before washing.
• Machine wash in cold water using a mild detergent.
• Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry.
• Do not bleach.
• Do not dry clean.
• Do not iron directly on the printed design.

Helpful Tips

• Test your heat press periodically to verify accurate temperature and pressure.
• Different fabrics may require slight adjustments to achieve the best results.
• If the transfer is not fully adhered after peeling, cover it again and repress for a few seconds.
